I've came across this right now at work. I'm working on some Bugzilla email encryption issue with .p7m attachments (still not sure what the solution will be) and while doing my reserach, I came across this.
Snapmail is a Chrome extension which allows you to send a "time-limited" email to someone. You need to install the extension and it adds green Snapmail button to your email composer.
To send time-limited self-destructive email, there are 3 easy steps to be done:
- Write your message and hit "Snapmail" button instead of Send button
- recipient doesn't get the email contents directly but rather a link which he clicks on
- Link opens a window where the email is displayed for 60 seconds only. Then it's deleted forever
