Subtracting Multi-digit Numbers Worksheet

In this post we will discuss multi-digit number subtraction problems. In grade 3, kids learned how to subtract without and with regrouping. This post is just the revision of the concept but with some tricky problems with bigger numbers.

Some times the numbers are given in a word problem and to find the answer we need to subtract these numbers. In such cases kids should be able to stack numbers properly before they start the subtraction. Again, to stack two numbers in a subtraction problem Align the Digits from RIGHT to LEFT and start to subtract from Far Right Side (which is ONES place column).

Below is a worksheet to practice the concept. First problem is solved to show the stacking of numbers and there are 7 more problems to solve. Kids need to solve all of them to be ready to start working on subtraction word problems.
