This post is continuation of rounding numbers for 3rd grade math. In previous two posts we discussed the rounding to nearest ten and hundred. This post contains three worksheets on rounding numbers to nearest thousand.
Again the trick is to underline the thousands digit in the given number and look at its right on hundreds digit. If the hundreds digit is 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 then we round down and if the hundreds digit is 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 we round up the underlined digit.
