Estimating Sums Multiple Choice Worksheets

In this post we will wrap up estimating sums for 3rd grade math level. As you know we need estimation skill when we don't need the exact answer and approximate answer is good. This skill enhance mental math abilities in kids and help them to gauze reasonableness of the answer in their math problems.

There are three worksheets in this post. First two on multiple choice questions on estimating sums and the third one is on some easy word problems to explore estimation further.

We have done estimating sums of 3 digit numbers or estimating by rounding to nearest hundreds. Kids can pursue it further to find the estimation of sum of numbers with four or five digits by applying the same skills learned so far.
