In this post we will discuss adding two or three numbers when their number of digits are not same. For example; adding a two-digit number to a three-digit number. Many kids make mistakes when two numbers with different number of digits are given and they have to align them for adding.
The key is to align the ones digits, tens digits and so on for all the numbers from right to left. There are two worksheets in this post which can be used to practice this key addition skill. First worksheet contains addition of two numbers when their digits are not same. In second worksheet three numbers to be added when they have different number of digits.
