Practice Sheet On One Fifths, Sixth, Sevenths and Eighths
After learning halves, thirds and quarters kids are ready to learn fifths, sixths, sevenths and eighths. In this post I am sharing one worksheet on these all basic fractions as mostly kids get the idea of fractions by learning halves, thirds and quarters.
When there are five equal parts (pieces) of a whole and one part (piece) is chosen this represents one fifth and it is written as 1/5. If we choose 2 parts out of total 5 parts it is known as two fifths and written as 2/5.
When there are 6 equal parts (pieces) of a whole and one part (piece) is chosen the fraction is known as one sixth and we write it as 1/6. Similarly we can write 2/6, 3/6, 4/6 and 5/6.
When we choose one part out of seven equal parts of a whole the fraction is known as one seventh and we write it as 1/7. Similarly we can make 2/7 and 3/7 and other sevenths from this example.
When we choose one part out of eight equal parts of a whole the fraction is known as one eighths and we write it as 1/8. Similarly we can write 2/8, 3/8 and other eighths from this example.
