Credpago, a real estate startup, will split up to six times the rent of customers. The initiative came about due to the coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) and is expected to benefit around six thousand families across the country.
For the installment of the rent in three installments, referring to the months of April, May and June, there is no interest charge. For the installment payment four to six times, there is a charge of about 7% of the total amount.
Those interested in paying the rent should access the simulation tool on the startup's website, which will be available starting this Monday, 30th.
After the simulation, the data is sent to the partner real estate company that administers the lease, and after checking the conditions and agreeing to the operation, sends the terms of the proposal by means of a virtual acceptance. The estate agent generates a payment link that is automatically sent to the tenant to fill in with the credit card details and complete the installment payment of the rent. As soon as the lessee completes the transaction, the real estate agent receives the full rent amount within three business days.
The installment plan is possible due to an investment of R $ 10 million made available by the startup, which must meet about three thousand real estate lease agreements.
In an examination interview, Jardel Cardoso, CEO of Credpago, stressed that there is a financial limit to meet rental contracts, so installment payments should be used by those who really had their finances affected during quarantine.
