ESSENTIAL FOR CONSISTENT HOLY WALK AND LIFE #2

In my last article about holy walk and life before God,i wrote about the call to holy walk and life. In this article, the importance of holy walk and life before God would be enumerated.

The importance of the Holy walk is seen in the Epistle of Paul to the Hebrews which says;

follow peace with all men and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord. *Hebrews 13:14.

Unregenerated sinners are never commanded, encouraged or prayed for, to be holy in the gospel according to Saint John chapter 17 verse 17.
In order to experience this holiness of life the believers must do the following:

1. Thirst and hunger to be holy matthew 5 : 6
2. Pray and exercise faith to receive it luke 11 9-10
   Walking with God implies championship and fellowship, but without the holiness experience we cannot be consistent in our walk and life before Him.

OBSTACLES TO CONSISTENT HOLY WALK AND LIFE
There is no experience acquired or height attained by any believer from which he cannot drawback to sin if he becomes careless. We are to take note of obstacle that can hinder us from living holy life and walking consistently before God, they are:

1. Unprofitable conversation with sharp, sever, unkind criticisms and judgemental spirits. colossians* 4:6
   2.self indulgence and personal ambition Philippians 3:18-21
   
   3.Counting human commendation and compliments and always seeking to please men rather than God. 1 Thessalonians 2:3-8
2. Having a competitive spirit with the world and its standards 2 Corinthians 10:12
3. Resisting, disobeying and grieving or quenching the spirit and revealed word of God. 1 Thessalonians 5:19
4. Secret be setting sins psalms 19:12-13
