From what i have been hearing prior to this recent hardfork we shoulb be expecting SMT integration from this new change in code.
I have been quite dissappointed with steemit and its slow pace of development as well as the fact that they have an email list for SMT's but have NEVER ssent out an email with information pertaining to the project or its progress. Seriously why waste out rime with a email list if your not going to use it. Development od SMT's has been basically silent unless you have some sort of github expertise.
I am wondering when we will see SMT's in the form mentioned at https://smt.steem.io/ . I see alot of advertisement for SMT tokens that promise big things on a system that isnt even operable yet.

currently it is impossible to create an SMT so be wary of any organization promising you SMT's on a platform that isn't even operable yet. (correct me if I'm wrong)
I am still optimistic about SMT's but my enthusiasm has diminished and I am starting to think it won't really make a change here on steemit. I would really like to hear more on the subject from those in the know, as I feel like the community isn't really hip about the whole SMT thing and how it is progressing.
According to the SMT website we should expect a testnet in January of 2019 and a main net in March of 2019
