To be alive and to live are never the same and this is a fact everyone should know.

When I was young, my elders always taught me to really excel in school. They always told me to finish studying in order to get high paying jobs. But as I grow older, I've known a lot of successful and wealthy people who are even drop outs. I've also known a lot of people who are degree holders but are unsuccessful in life. There I came to realize that our educational attainment is not the basis of our success. Well, don't get me wrong about this. This is just my opinion. :D

I really thought before that we, Filipinos, aren't smart and hardworking enough than those of the other nationalities because until now we can't still get out of being a third world country but then I realize I was wrong. We are smart and hardworking people. The real problem is that we lack financial literacy. Most of us don't have the proper mindset on how to get out of poverty. Most of us only know how to earn money but not to keep it and make it grow.

I'm just so lucky that I get to know this one person who taught me to live my life to its fullest. He taught me how to dream big dreams and how to make those dreams come true. He's also the one who taught me to start getting out of the rat race which is waiting for the 15th and 30th day of the month or the pay day and have the salary budgeted for the rest of the month. He also taught me to aim for an early retirement and be financially independent.

Well I'm pretty much luckier that I got to know Steemit. Aside from having it as another source of income, I've got to learn a lot of ideas from other people on how to be successful not just here in this platform but in life. All for FREE. Thanks to Steemit!

Now, I'm on the process of achieving my early retirement and being financially independent. (I hope you are too! :) ) I have Steemit, I have also started investing in stock market, I also have invested in a networking company, and I am also starting my own business. This is not to brag but to have you inspired to aim to be financially independent too.

Well, if you really want your life to be changed or to live a life, READ A LOT and have the lessons applied in your own life. Read a lot of financial literacy books. I suggest you read Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad book. You can surely learn a lot from it. :)

If you have any suggestions or ideas about being financially independent, please feel free to comment it down below. I'd love to hear from you.

Be blessed some more! ^_^
