For this weekend engagement concept, I will be answering this question:
Modern man
What do you feel makes a man, a man, in today's society? What attributes do you feel a man should possess, how should he think and act? Answer in a minimum of 300 words and use your own photos if possible.
Everyone's thoughts aren't the same. Mine will definitely be a tale to another who doesn't believe in my opinions. For some, a man is a masculine being and people with much more abilities than their opposite gender, they are unemotional like females. There is no lie in a man being a male gender but that is not the context I derive my definition of who a man is.
For me, there are so many things I must see in a man for me to classify such person as a man in a society. There are so many attributes a man must possess . Below are few:
A man should believe in himself, be responsible and honest. He should be able to stand strong in his decision. He should also give room to other's ideas and suggestions and be ready to provide his own constructive feedback.
In being responsible, he should be able to account for his actions and do what is expected of him like his obligations. Then, being honest is one being true to himself and to others. He should be able to win the hearts of people with his honesty.
Another is independence, for a man to be addressed as one, he should be able to foot his bills. This will earn him respect.
Also possessing a sense of compassion and humility is necessary in today's society. Being willing to help the needy. Having respect for others and not looking down on others because of their status or background.
Being able to handle difficulties and working under pressure. Stand out as a model for others. Then,about his thinking and way of action, he should have respect for people just as he will demand respect from others. In conversation,he should be actively,fully and consciously involved and give feedback.
To crown it all, possessing physical, mental and emotional abilities will help a man tackle daily life challenges with dedication.
