A true friend in life is like a radiance of light. Just like a saying goes, "one friend is more than a thousand who will stab you in the back". I will rather go for just one true friend who will be with me through the raining and dry days of my life.
In making this friendship choice and selection, there are things to have in mind and consider. Friendship can take years to develop and some can take just a few days or a day depending on who you meet and the qualities he or she possesses .
Conversation with a stranger is one way to get to know a stranger better. Also, assisting in any little way can also be a very good way of getting to know a person Better. To make friend(s) requires one to loosen up and keep a jovial and smiling face.
Trying to treat a stranger in a way that makes him or her feel valued is also a very skillful way of getting to make a new friend. You can offer to give one a ride, be interactive, share the little you have and you will be surprised that the person will be very willing to accept the offer with a smile beaming on her face.
Making a friend doesn't take ages, it all depends how interested one is in making a Friend. For me, in a day I meet thousands of people and I examine them and make a pick of the people I want to get to know more. This is a psychological evaluation though as they don't get to know am doing any examination.
THE QUALITIES
Okay, so for this weekend, in my search for a new person to call a friend. They are qualities I would like to see in him or her before I want to push a conversation further. I love my friends to share almost the same qualities I possess. It is something difficult to get 100 percent but I don't look for the exact version of myself in friendship but let similarities exist between us.
✓✓A LISTENER:
The very first quality I will look out for in a friend is if he or she is a good listener. I love it when I have a problem or I need someone to call and pour out my heart . Having a friend who doesn't care about how I feel will definitely not be interested in what is going on with you. While trying to narrate all these to her, she could prefer to be multitasking while still acting like she listens.
Why my friend may possess this quality is because good listeners have a deep understanding on how what we say really affects them, they feel connected and know the best advice to give after listening. For me to taste my friend to know if she is a good listener is by asking her what I said and find out if she remembers.
✓✓HONEST:
One quality my friend must have is honesty. I love an honest person and I myself I practice and make honesty part of me. I love saying things the way they are without fear of anything. I expect someone who I call a friend should have this virtue in him or her. Just like the saying goes "show me your friend and I will tell you who you are".
I'm the type of person who loves color things, parties, decorations. I love to make things beautiful. Having a friend who can assist in making my day colorful when I want to is something pleasant. Getting to know if she or he is an introvert or extrovert is one way of solving math.
✓✓ TRUSTWORTHY:
Getting to find out you have someone you can share your fears, secrets, likes, dislikes with is something pleasurable. Is something we can get from a friend who is trusted. I Love leaning on people when I am devastated. So, having a trustworthy person will make things better.
✓✓Also, having someone who isn't tight in giving is of Paramount importance to me. Having someone who gives and shares his or her things freely with an open heart is what will make my friendship with a person last. I love giving freely without being asked or forced. Having someone like that will make the friendship equal.
