Hello beautiful and handsome Hivians. It's another blessed day and I feel excited to be here in #CCH community where everyone gets to know everything about travelling and camping. Kudos to the brains behind this community.
Today,in this blog post,I will be sharing things that makes me crave home often.
Traveling is one of my hobbies. I love exploring places, learning new things and exchanging my ideas and beliefs with new faces. My friends will always tease me whenever I inform them I am out of town. "We know you" that's what their responses will be and I will be thinking if they agreed to be saying this anytime I inform them about my absence.
Life for me without traveling isn't complete. Getting stuck to one location is like a disease. I have visited many states in my country Nigeria and I must say, I have learnt different things and have had different experiences regarding these places.
Nigeria is a country with 36 states with 525 languages with over 250 ethnic groups. So even without visiting the capital city of a state, you can visit a part of the city.

I hail from Ebonyi state and I visit there very often. I love to visit my state because I love to see my old time friends, see the new changes that have occurred with the time I have been absent, also get to meet new people and participate in ongoing celebration activities .
THINGS THAT MAKES ME LOVE TRAVELING HOME:
Ebonyi state is noted for its agricultural products. If you need any food grains, the best place to get it easier is there. How does this chip in? Whenever I am traveling on the road, I see beautiful green leaves consisting of rice, yam and other necessary crops. So, anytime I am traveling home,I am always rest assured that I won't lack any food I need ranging from yam, rice, cassava flake(garri),white yam,and cocoyam. All these are what I see in abundance without buying them.
Also, the greenish color of these agricultural products are always beautiful to me, and whenever I see where they are planted, I spend quality time admiring the beauty in God's creation. My eyes are always glued to the beauty in nature.
Another thing about my state is that we are known as the "Salt of the Nation*. Whenever I am traveling home, I see "Welcome to Ebonyi, the Salt of the Nation". It gives me that super joy because salt is one ingredient we can't do without. Whatever food prepared without salt is tasteless. Having something that has value in abundance is a gift.
Also, there is a lake which is called Okposi Okwu salt lake where water mixed with salt. You fetch the water, cook it to dry and you will see a natural pure salt as white as a cloud. It's a very good means of livelihood for the community members as they locally process this salt and sell it at wholesale and retail prices. This place where the water is situated is very sacred and there are many rules to how the water can be fetched for those that want to process it locally. You don't walk into the water to fetch, you stand in dry ground and use Calabash to scoop the water. Also, you don't talk while passing, you only talk after you must have passed the water.
I visit this cool lake whenever I need peace of mind, relaxation and want to write. It's a very serene environment and the sweetest thing about this Lake to me is that it is situated in my town. I don't have to pay an exorbitant fee to get there and relax.
