“The real enjoyment is on the beach, in the encounter with the water and the way the sand heals the soul.”
— Unknow
I hadn't been to the beach for a long time, two years? three years? I don't know, I even think my last trip to the beach was long before the pandemic in 2020. Imagine that, that's a long time without visiting a place as relaxing as the beach. Since the beginning of this year I had in mind to make a trip to the beach, no matter if it was a quick round trip, because the intention was to relax for a while sticking my feet in the sand and listening to the waves of the sea. In October, unexpectedly, one of my friends from the University sent me information about a Full Day to Caruao beach in Miranda State. She insisted me to go, so I immediately accepted because I thought it would be a great way to hang out with my college friends in a different place outside the city.
We were excited for that trip, and who doesn't get excited for a trip to the beach? The shuttle left early, around 6:30 in the morning as the drive to this beach was about two and a half hours. None of us had ever visited this particular beach before, so we were a little anxious to see what this beach was like...because yes, all beaches are different. We were fighting the waves until noon or so, and then we moved on to a place called “Pozo del Cura”, a river with a spectacular waterfall that also has a cliff tempting enough to dive off of.
It was a very fun day. We all brought food, snacks, fruits and drinks to share. Trips with your friends are simply the best.
