I'm making a guess, it's hard to tell at this point, just reporting a finding. This conversation can take many paths of debate. Health implications of having the tattoos, privacy concerns (does it mean any medic across the globe will retrieve a patient's data from a common pool?), is it any relation to the mark talked about in the book of Apocalypse/Revelations?... etc, etc, etc.
