Dead mongoose

Back in the day, after a night of commotion coming from the neighborhood dogs, the morning yielded this: a dead mongoose.

This kind is responsible for the deaths of many a chicken and other poultry in the area.

For some reason, they tend to drink the blood and not actually eat the birds.

Paw detail. Don't know how I was expecting it to look.

It's not every day that one gets to get this close to this animal. Never touched it though, wrapped it in an old shirt to move it.
