Incredibly surprising the style and technique of this artist.

Malaysia artist Monica Lee uses simple graphite pencils to create incredibly realistic portraits of people and animals. Through his photorealistic drawings, he manages to capture the finer details of his subjects - discolored freckles, thick beard hair and even the subtle fabrics of a shirt.

He often works from photographic portraits to create seemingly identical drawings. Surprisingly, Lee worked in the digital world for 12 years before making the leap to illustration. But it certainly does not show. Now spend 3-4 weeks in a single drawing. The artist attributes his love for the hyperrealism of his father, who worked in the field of photography.

Thus, photorealism comes to her quite naturally, and she enjoys representing as many details as possible.

"I like to challenge myself with complex portraits especially people with freckles or beards," says Lee.
