Estaba aburrida en casa
de la silla no me levantaba,
un libro me acompañaba
pero ni leer quería está mañana.
Llega una mosca despeinada
y entra sin ser invitada
se posa en mi cama
y se duerme, nada le importa a la descarada.
I was bored at home,
I couldn't bring myself to get up from the chair,
I had a book with me,
but I didn't even feel like reading this morning.
A disheveled fly arrives
and comes in uninvited;
it lands on my bed
and falls asleep,that cheeky thing doesn't care about a thing.
Me levanto y me acerco a la cama
e intento espantarla,
pero, no salió como esperaba
y yo terminé regañada.
El animal sus dientes me mostró
y me amenazó,
a la silla regresé yo
hasta que mi perro llegó.
I get up and walk over to the bed
and try to scare it away,
but it didn't go as I expected,
and I ended up getting scolded.
The animal bared its teeth at me
and threatened me,
so I went back to the chair
until my dog came.
A él no le importó
y a la cama se subió,
la mosca los dientes mostró
pero el perro no le prestó atención.
Dormidos juntos se quedaron
y yo traje una manta para abrigarlos
me senté en la silla a contemplarlos
es que es bello que convivan aunque son extraños.
He didn't care
and climbed onto the bed;
the fly bared its teeth,
but the dog paid no attention to it.
They fell asleep together,
and I brought a blanket to keep them warm.
I sat in the chair watching them
it's just so beautiful to see them together, even though they're strangers.
