___Feliz y bendecido día queridos amigos de NEEDLEWORKMONDAY! ___🪡🧵 ❤️

Happy and blessed day, dear friends of NEEDLEWORKMONDAY! 🪡🧵❤️

There's something I really like doing with my kids: matching our outfits when we go out. A while back, I found some fabric at a really good price, and my oldest insisted I buy it and make us all blouses (just my daughters and me) since we didn't have that color. Here are the ideas for making three cute blouses. Join me as I share the step-by-step instructions:

MATERIALES

MATERIALS

  • hilo
  • tijeras
  • cinta métrica
  • Máquina de coser

To make these blouses I bought 2 meters of fabric which is 1.50 meters wide, I would have also liked to make something for my son but he is a boy and I think the fabric is not appropriate since the embroidery it has has small holes and is very feminine, so this time my son is not listed, ha ha, we are going to use a blouse that we like to guide us with the size and design several models, it is practically like a basic pattern, just look for a blouse that you use that has a simple model and from there guide yourself to make the model you want, here is the list of materials to use:

  • 2 meters of eyelet fabric for making 3 blouses
  • Thread
  • Scissors
  • Measuring tape
  • Sewing machine

PASO A PASO

STEP BY STEP

Stretch fabric women's blouses are quite simple to make. Let's find a blouse we already wear to guide us with the size, fold it in half, join the two edges of our fabric, and fold it to the approximate width of our blouse. Draw the entire outline of the blouse, then adjust the measurements slightly. The neckline will almost always be 7 to 9 cm, the shoulder drop will be approximately 8 to 10 cm, and the sleeve length will depend on the width of your blouse. Allow approximately 1 cm on the sides for seams, and the hemline will be the length of your choice.

We cut the two pieces equally, the front and the back, then we make the modifications to the front, for my youngest daughter's blouse I used one of her favorite blouses, only this one I'm going to make it a little longer, for my oldest daughter I used one of her blouses which fits her perfectly in size, I will also cut this one a little longer, for me I also looked for one of my blouses which fits my body tightly, I will cut this one to the same size since I really like the blouse that I am guiding myself by.

For the next step, we're going to make the front of each blouse. For my blouse, I'm going to draw a kind of drop on one of the shoulders. This neckline has been very fashionable and I really like it. After drawing it, I fold the fabric in half so that it looks the same on both sides. I cut it and continue with my youngest daughter's blouse. I'm going to copy the pattern from the original blouse, which has three holes or drops. After folding the fabric in half, I cut the drop that goes in the center. Then I draw the one on the sides. I fold the fabric in half at that point and then cut it to give it the shape.

For my older daughter's blouse I'm going to make a slightly more traditional model, this one will be like a figure of the top of a heart, and I'll also cut another front part but a little shorter to use it as a bottom and thus be able to fit the top, for this blouse I'm going to cut the sleeves a little wider so I can gather them at the shoulder, for my blouses I will cut the sleeves simple and for the smallest blouse this one will be sleeveless, I will cut several 5 cm wide strips to use as bias.

In this step we are going to start with the seams, for my blouse I am going to put bias around the entire edge of the drop shape, then one on the shoulders with a seam and then put bias around the neck, this type of necklines or figures in the blouses We can make them with bias or cutting two equal pieces to fit them together, both ways look very good, then we join the sleeves, we join the sides and to finish we hem the sleeves and the bottom of the blouse.

For my older daughter's blouse, we are going to join the two front pieces together around the neckline, then turn them over, place bias binding on the edge of the back neckline, and join them at the shoulders, fitting them together with the front pieces. Then, we join the sleeves, leaving excess fabric at the shoulder area so we can make small pleats. Then, we join them along the sides, hem the sleeves, and then hem the bottom of the blouse.

Now we go with the third blouse, we are going to put bias in each drop figure, then we are going to join at the shoulders, then we cut the excess fabric or if we wish we lower the contour of the neck a little more, we are going to put bias around the entire edge of the neck, in each figure we are going to mount one edge on top of the other so that when putting it on the figures are not deformed, then we put bias around the entire sleeve contour, we join at the sides and to finish we hem the bottom of the blouse, with the 2 m of fabric I got the three blouses and I had a small scrap of about 50 cm left, I think that with this I could easily make another small blouse.
