Today, I wanted to share with you how I made some cute pajamas. I wanted to make this lovely gift for the girls in my family so they can celebrate Christmas with something special. ☺️

Desde niña, siempre me ha gustado muchísimo la Navidad, me gusta compartir con mis seres queridos, en la medida de lo posible, dar a obsequios y disfrutar en unión familiar, las niñas de mi familia ya están grandes, pero esto no significa que no puedan recibir obsequios, así que quise hacerles unas lindas pijamas para que esperen en la llegada del niño Dios de una manera muy bonita, para esta confección aquí les dejo la lista de materiales a utilizar:

• tela elástica rib, por cada pijama se lleva alrededor de medio metro de tela, ya que son tallas pequeñas
• tijeras
• Hilo
• Cinta métrica
• Máquina de coser

Ever since I was a little girl, I've always loved Christmas. I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, giving gifts, and enjoying family togetherness. The girls in my family are grown now, but that doesn't mean they can't receive gifts. So, I wanted to make them some cute pajamas to wear while they wait for the arrival of Baby Jesus. Here's a list of the materials you'll need:

• Ribbed elastic fabric (you'll need about half a meter of fabric per pajama set, as they are small sizes)
• Scissors
• Thread
• Measuring tape
• Sewing machine

Para la confección de esta pijama, voy a guiarme por un Short de mi hija m más chiquita, por medio de este haré la de mi sobrina, ya que son detalles parecidas, para mi hija más grande la haré un poquito más grande ya que ella es un poco más gordita, coloco mi tela sobre la mesa por el lado del revés y dibujo los dos chores que van a hacer del mismo tamaño, para hacer el tercer Short más grande, coloco el que ya corté sobre la tela y le aumento 2 cm por cada lado

Para la confección de la blusa, la tela no me alcanzaría, ya que tendría un poco menos de metro y medio, así que corté las tres piezas delanteras, por suerte entre mis telas tengo de la misma tela en color negro, así que le hice la parte de atrás a dos de las blusas con este color, la que me salió completa será la que le regale a mi sobrina y las otras dos para mis hijas.

Con la tela sobrantes, saqué todas las tiras de 4 cm que pude, ya que esta llevaba bastante sesgo, las blusas llevan sesgo en las orillas del escote del pecho y espalda y los tirantes a los lados, para el elástico se toma la medida a la cintura y luego se le restan 10 o 15 cm, esto va a depender de qué tan fuerte es el elástico hay algunos que casi no estiran y es mejor dejarles un poco más, yo les resté 10 cm y luego los uno con costura para tenerlos listos

To make this pajama set, I'm going to use a pair of my youngest daughter's shorts as a guide. I'll use those as a template for my niece's set since they have similar details. For my oldest daughter, I'll make them a little bigger since she's a bit heavier. I place my fabric on the table with the wrong side facing out and draw the two pairs of shorts that will be the same size. To make the third, larger pair of shorts, I place the one I already cut on top of the fabric and add 2 cm to each side.

For the top, I didn't have enough fabric, as I only had a little less than a meter and a half, so I cut the three front pieces. Luckily, I have the same fabric in black, so I made the back of two of the tops with this color. The one that turned out completely will be the one I give to my niece, and the other two are for my daughters.

With the leftover fabric, I cut out as many 4 cm strips as I could, since this one had quite a bit of bias binding. Blouses have bias binding on the edges of the neckline and back, and on the straps at the sides. For the elastic, you take the waist measurement and then subtract 10 or 15 cm. This will depend on how strong the elastic is; some hardly stretch at all, and it's better to leave a little extra. I subtracted 10 cm and then sewed them together to have them ready.

Para las costuras, comencé por las tres blusas, primero le colocó sesgo en la parte del escote, luego les coloco el sesgo en los lados para los tirantes, por suerte todas las tiras de tela que corté me alcanzaron para las tres blusas, luego uno por los laterales con costura y así están listas las blusas, para los shorts unimos por el tiro delantero y el tiro de atrás, luego por la parte del fundillo, igual reforzamos con costura, Overlook y recta, luego le coloco el elástico a los tres shorts 🩳

For the sewing, I started with the three blouses. First, I added bias tape to the neckline, then to the sides for the straps. Luckily, all the strips of fabric I cut were enough for all three blouses. Then I sewed them together along the sides, and that's how the blouses are finished. For the shorts, I joined them at the front and back crotch seams, then at the seat, reinforcing them with overlock and straight stitches. Then I added elastic to all three shorts. 🩳

Al tener lista las tres pijamas, aún no definía que le iba a hacer para el ruedo, por la cantidad de tela que tenía disponible todas me quedaron cortas, así que pensé en pasarle Overlook en la orilla, esta costura me gusta muchísimo y para pijama queda muy bien, así que le pasé Overlook con hilo negro a todas las pijamas, estas las he combinado con negro y han quedado muy bonitas.

Having finished the three pajamas, I still hadn't decided what to do with the hem. Because of the amount of fabric I had available, they were all too short, so I thought of using an overlock stitch on the edge. I really like this stitching technique, and it looks great on pajamas, so I used an overlock stitch with black thread on all the pajamas. I combined them with black, and they turned out very nice.

ya para finalizar les coloqué unos lacitos en cinta delgada negra, a la de mi hija más grande no le coloqué lazo para que pueda identificarla con la de mi hija menor, y así ya están listas estas pijamas para obsequiar a las chicas de mi familia 😊❤️

Finally, I added little bows made of thin black ribbon. I didn't put a bow on my oldest daughter's pajamas so she could tell them apart from my youngest daughter's. And now these pajamas are ready to give to the girls in my family 😊❤️
