Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una solución para esos Jeans que no hay manera de qué la cremallera les funcione,, esos que por más que le cambies la cremallera está vuelve nuevamente a dañarse y terminas engavetando ese pantalón que tanto te gusta, así que reparemos nuestros Jeans y usémoslo nuevamente , aquí te dejo los pasos a seguir:

Today I want to share with you a solution for those Jeans that there is no way for the zipper to work, those that no matter how many times you change the zipper it gets damaged again and you end up shelving those pants that you like so much, so let's repair our Jeans and use them again, here are the steps to follow:

En mi caso tengo uno de esos pantalones que son muy estrech y al ponérmelo estira mucho y la cremallera se forza demasiado, éste ya se la he cambiado 2 veces y de la misma forma vuelve a dañarse, o será que la calidad de las cremalleras actualmente no es muy buena, es por esto que pensé en la idea de colocarle botones en vez de cremallera, para la reparación de este pantalón vamos a necesitar los siguientes materiales:

• Un rectángulo de tela de aproximadamente 10 cm de ancha por el largo de la cremallera en mi caso son aproximadamente 18 cm
• Botones del tamaño de su preferencia
• desbaratador
• hilo
• Una tira de perlon o entretela del que se usa para los cuellos de camisa
• máquina de coser

In my case, I have a pair of pants that are very tight, and when I put them on, they stretch a lot and the zipper strains too much. I've already replaced it twice, and it keeps getting damaged again. Or maybe the quality of zippers isn't very good these days. That's why I thought about adding buttons instead of a zipper. To repair these pants, we'll need the following materials:

• A rectangle of fabric approximately 10 cm wide by the length of the zipper (in my case, it's approximately 18 cm).
• Buttons of your preferred size.
• Unraveler
• Thread
• A strip of perlon or interlining used for shirt collars
• Sewing machine

Comenzaremos desarmando la cremallera dañada de nuestro pantalón, la vamos a retirar completamente, luego retiramos todos los hilos reventados, en la parte de la pretina cortamos al ras de la costura para no desarmar esa parte ya que es gruesa y en mi caso mi máquina no cose partes tan gruesas

Al retirar la cremallera vamos a ubicar la pieza de tela que queda suelta y la vamos a unir pasándole costura, esta es la parte donde está ubicado el botón, podemos pasar costura doble para poder reforzarla bien ya que allí irán los botones.

We will start by disassembling the damaged zipper of our pants, we will remove it completely, then we remove all the broken threads, in the waistband part we cut flush with the seam so as not to disassemble that part since it is thick and in my case my machine does not sew such thick parts

When removing the zipper, we will locate the loose piece of fabric and join it by sewing it. This is the part where the button is located. We can double-stitch it to reinforce it well since the buttons will go there.

Para el siguiente paso vamos a cortar un rectángulo de tela de 8 cm de ancho por 18 cm de largo, entre mis retazos conseguí tela de gabardina en azul oscuro y me pareció Perfecta, a esta pieza le vamos a colocar entretela, doblamos a la mitad en forma vertical y le pasamos costura por toda la orilla para cerrar y luego le vamos a hacer los ojales.

Los ojales los vamos a hacer acordes al tamaño de nuestros botones y los vamos a hacer en forma horizontal a una distancia de aproximadamente 3 cm, me pareció más fácil hacer los ojales antes de unir la pieza con costura al pantalón.

Una vez lista nuestra ojalera la vamos a unir a nuestro pantalón, pasamos costura uniendo por toda la orilla de pestaña que tiene doblada el pantalón reforzamos y luego le vamos a pasar costura externa, dándole la forma como trae originalmente la cremallera.

For the next step, we're going to cut a rectangle of fabric 8 cm wide by 18 cm long. Among my scraps, I found some dark blue gabardine fabric, and it seemed perfect. We're going to add interfacing to this piece. Fold it in half vertically, topstitch it along the entire edge to close it, and then we're going to make the buttonholes.

We're going to make the buttonholes according to the size of our buttons and we're going to make them horizontally at a distance of approximately 3 cm. I found it easier to make the buttonholes before sewing the piece to the pants.

Once our buttonhole is ready, we're going to join it to our pants. We'll topstitch it along the entire edge of the folded tab on the pants, reinforce it, and then we'll topstitch it externally, giving it the shape it originally had for the zipper.

Como tercer y último paso, buscaré entre mis cosas algunos botones que le queden bien, conseguí varios, pero solo los del color gris tenía suficientes para que fuesen todos iguales, se los cosí a mano, luego le hice la abertura a los ojales y probé que cada uno entrara correctamente, ya con esto está terminada esta Ideal reparación para nuestros pantalones, desde hace días venía estudiando esta idea ya que este pantalón me gusta mucho para el día a día, pero no había logrado conseguirle una solución con las cremalleras, espero les haya gustado .

As a third and last step, I will look among my things for some buttons that fit well, I got several but only the gray ones were enough for them all to be the same, I sewed them by hand, then I made the opening to the buttonholes and tested that each one went in correctly, with this this Ideal repair for our pants is finished, for days I had been studying this idea since I really like these pants for day to day but I had not been able to find a solution with the zippers, I hope you liked it.

Odio cuando se me dañan las cremalleras de los pantalones ya que casi siempre se le dañan las costuras originales y luego es difícil volver a hacérselas ya que estos traen hilos especiales, pero esta solución me ha gustado muchísimo ahora sí ya no habrá manera de qué se le dañe la cremallera y podré usarlo nuevamente, eso es todo por hoy me despido deseándoles muchos éxitos y bendiciones, hasta otra oportunidad
