I am lucky to have never been sucked into the pit of debt, I have never had a mortgage or car loan. Still to this day I refuse to even have a phone contract.

I'm not sure how I managed it but I think it's because I was homeless from a young age and I had to make do without loans as no bank would go near me.

A blessing in disguise if you will.

Sacrificing comfort for peace of mind shouldn't be that hard a choice for people to make.
