Have you ever seen a bird fly underwater? I was reading @vermute 's post on "The Birds of the Farne Islands" and it reminder me of this amazing video I got of a bird called the Razorbill. It looks a little like a Penguin to the untrained eye. Fishermen, fishing on the Venice jetties had been telling the news that they had been seeing Penguins in the water while they were fishing. So, naturally everyone that was a birder in the area ran down to the jetties to see if the fisherman were drunk or maybe hallucinating in the hot sun. When they got there, there was a bird that looks similar to a Penguin, but was in fact a Razorbill! There had only been one other sighting EVER in the Gulf of Mexico, and that was just one. Now there were many and many more being reported of the East coast of Florida. So, with that news I hurried to the jetties to get a video of these fantastic birds that swim under water! After seeing my video, one of the bird guides said he deleted all his pictures, because they didn't do justice to the bird like my video did. I hope he was just kidding. Watch this bird fly under water.
