I cant remember i said everybody would freeze to death maybe i said that as a figure of speech. Anyway I said was that we bought shitloads of expensive (due the sanctions) RUSSIAN gas to make sure we make it through the winter.
I said many small businesses went bankrupt and more will follow. I said families are going broke due the high gas prices/ sanctions. And you be like: "nobody died from a little bit of cold"
Also i said was the sanctions didnt save 1 Ukrainian live but destroyed many Dutch lives. Thus imo the sanctions fucked us harder then it did Russia. However if you live in the illusion that we found an alternative within 8 days yeah then it might be hard to comprehend this.
For now we need Russian gas cause there is no other infrastructure. Those are not my words those are our governments words. Our own government declared an energy crisis level 1 last June. Does that sounds like we had alternatives within 8 days?
"By the way I heard that with the new opening of the Norway pipeline that there is now no European gas shortage. Oops..."

"Het gas dat we in Nederland gebruiken komt ook uit onder meer Noorwegen en Nederland zelf. Maar dat is niet voldoende om aan de gasvraag te voldoen. Daarom is er nu nog Russisch gas nodig. Op verschillende manieren probeert Nederland minder afhankelijk van dat gas te worden. Bijvoorbeeld door gas in vloeibare vorm (LNG) te importeren. En door de importcapaciteit versneld uit te breiden."
Brief translation; The gas we use is from Norway and the Netherlands. We are trying to be independent but for now its not enough to fill our needs we still need Russian gas.
