In our country we work either in the fall or February-March, April is left maybe only for some species that bloom later, medlar, quince,we prune before flowering.
But I learned that every pruner has his own rule.
I also don't like to cut and remove flowers from the branches, so I have to make a ladder to support the branches so they don't break. The same case when the fruit tree is young and small and has fruit.
