This could be solve by allowing for a content block chain that people keep in their own personal blockchain. The steem block chain could the merely contain the link and the hash of that content.
To implement posting to followers and specific individuals would require the person to host their own blockchain and handle requests for content.
Otherwise, sadly Steemit will become extinct or religated to the darkweb as soon as Judges order content removed. Happy enhancing.
