I believe the Vologda oblast is snowier than Finland. The climate is somewhat more continental.

The snowiest place is probably western side of the Japanese Alps of the island of Honshu. You can have 5-10 meters of snow.

Enroute the Snow Corridor, you get 20 meter walls of snow on the roadsides.
