I see what you're getting at. But I can console you by letting you know that at least in my country (Finland) people tend to see past Trump. Most people think he's more than a little unhinged but they realize that America is big country comprising of all kinds of groups. A friend of mine demonstrated insight by saying that the US is actually a pretty decentralized country in terms of having such tech large corporations that can afford development that would in most small countries require some level of government backing, for instance, along with many other ways.
