Do the police in the US tend to treat people like shit selectively based on race regardless of their social class? Black Americans exist on every rung of the socio-economic ladder. If an educated upper middle class person like Neil deGrasse Tyson were pulled over by the police, could he reasonably expect to be treated worse than a white person of his station (assuming the cop did not watch Discovery Channel regularly)? Everybody knows Oprah. Would she be treated worse by the police just because of her race? How about the white underclass? If you're obvious white trash, would the police be likely to treat you much worse than the average person?
