For reference, see exyle@exyle's post about reward curves. It's written in plain English with technical language kept at a minimum. What the convergent linear part of Steemit Inc's Economic Improvement Proposal (EIP) means is that the post reward curve as a function of how much voting power went into upvoting it would start growing slowly and only gradually become like the straight line like we've used to.

Just so that those preparing Hard Fork 21 would not think that it would be possible to adjust the parameters of the reward curve so as to make the linear part start only at a very high level, I will now propose away for Steemians to opt out of the superlinearity altogether. All it takes a bot that will work as follows.

To the extent you don't like superlinearity, you will delegate a share of your voting power to a bot that we can call, say, AntiSuperlinearityBot (ASB). If you have delegated so much that you barely have enough Steem Power to yourself that you can barely go about your daily business posting, commenting and voting, your own upvotes would amount to almost nothing in any case. But that's fine because ASB will be constantly scanning the blockchain. When it detects your vote, it makes an entry into an internal database (it could also send you a memo if you like). Every 2.4 hours, the bot makes a placeholder post that it self-upvotes at 100% voting power. It sets the beneficiaries of that post according to the voting and delegation information of the previous 2.4 hours. Since all the small fish who are not being regularly upvoted by large accounts too often (= nearly all of them) have delegated a large percentage of their Steem Power to ASB, its largest possible vote will be safely above the icky non-linear part of the curve.

That's how you nullify the superlinearity of the post reward curve. Those who don't like total linearity, are naturally capable of downvoting the placeholder posts. But ASB would have free downvotes, too. As it would be a pretty large bot because every single small fish would have direct financial incentives to delegate to it, only the largest whales would be able to resist it. In any case, a whale would have more to lose by declaring war on Minnows collectively than vice versa because Minnows could opt for mass exit causing the price of STEEM to collapse.
