Nice blue hour smartphone pics. It was about quarter past eleven pm. White nights are upon us again. The sun had set an hour earlier. The length of day was 18 hours and 8 minutes today. Exactly four weeks to summer solstice. Then, the length of day will be 19 hours 20 minutes here.
Drive-Thru was open and you could get your food from the counter inside but you couldn't stay inside or sit at those tables on the left. The temperature outside was 10 C at the time. Notice the guy in shorts in front of the building. It certainly feels warm now.
Going in. The queue was a bit longish as this is the only McDonald's always open around here.
The two counters are on the other side of the building. The first one you pay at and the second one is where you get your food from.
I remember visiting Petrozavodsk, Russia, in 1997. I took part in a go tournament. Those days, there still were telegraph offices in Russia as mobile phone proliferation was nothing like these days. What you'd do is get line to pay for your telephone call at one counter. When you had paid, you waited for your turn get to the telephone booth. Those were the days. Getting my burger reminded me of that a little bit. Splitting up the process into three stages is the most efficient way to do it, though.
Some campaign burgers
There were two lanes on which orders were taken. They merged right after the orders were taken. The white car was an Audi R5.
Does anyone know if it has the Tiptropic gear box? A friend of mine has driven Audis for more than a couple decades and he told me in no uncertain terms when I was buying a car a couple of years ago and considered an Audi to stay the hell a way from Multitronic.
