Okay, I am a person who talks a lot, and loves to write on steemit but this post is going to be a little different. I will therefore not 'overthink this post and explain what I do when I want to stop overthinking'. I have a very simple instruction for you:
When you are overthinking things I want you to follow these steps:
- Realise your unconscious has way more information than your conscious mind.
- Trust that the answers to your doubts will come when you allow your unconscious to consider it calmly.
- Distract your conscious mind with something you enjoy doing, like watching a movie, taking a walk, exercising or whatever.
- Wait for the answer to your dilemma or trilemma to 'pop' in your head. (In reality your brain is solving the issue without you noticing, just as it is currently regulating your blood pressure, is adjusting the frequency of your heartbeat and digesting your food without you paying conscious attention to it.
