I think this is one of my favourite new spider macros. Just saw him building a web in a very good position and managed to get a shot with no background directly behind him. A quick pop of the flashgun and the background turns black. What I'd quite like to do is to get some kind of hair light behind him to really make him stand out from the background but trying to set up what is effectively a macro studio around something you have absolutely no control over is pretty much near impossible without building a specialised bracket system to hold multiple speedlights.
For now, this will have to do.
