Lately, I have spent quite a bit of time on youtube as I contemplated buying a sailboat myself. Sailing and YouTubing seems to combine excellently ... with thousands of great videos it was difficult to choose ... anyways, below are the four videos I have selected for you.
Some sailors overcome loneliness by talking to their virtual audience; others wished to be arriving right after leaving (i.e., "I have left Inverness and shall be in Bergen at Tea Time tomorrow"); and some are hardcore sailors who wait for a storm to build up to 10 Beaufort before leaving the marina to sail it downwinds.
What inspires me the most, however, are crews that are obviously at home on their ship and enjoying themselves on the passage.
Let's first look at how the crew of SV Delos are visiting an uninhabited island in the middle of the Indian Ocean (23 minutes).
And then lets jump into one of the episode in the life of Elayna & Riley. This channel was not difficult to find as it has over one million subscribers.
And here is the couple who sails the Northern waters in their yacht Teleport. They are extremely proficient not only in sailing but also in photography.
Last but not least I would like to recommend this full-length, two hour movie as evening entertainment. It covers the entire Northwest Passage from Alaska via Greenland and onto Spain. Spectacular views and amazing crew life.
