Hello friends, welcome to my space in Hive full of anecdotes, reflections, a touch of nature and all my love to write, today I share my experiences as aunt and godmother of little Liam.
I have told you before about him, my little godson who fills my days with joy, he is already 2 years and 2 months old; he is full of vitality as befits his age and also full of curiosity, when he comes to visit he runs to look for the toys inherited from my son that I keep in boxes just for him.
It is very funny to hear him repeat everything like a parrot, these days while I was tidying my room and cleaning I found some books about values from my active days in the classroom and I remembered him, today when he came home I told him I had a present for him and he got excited, I asked him to sit down, I like to give him instructions to see how he reacts and complies with them.
As soon as I took out the little box, I opened it, took one of the books and although it has a lot of text and reading that he still doesn't understand, it has many colorful and childish figures that caught his attention. I took advantage of his interest to tell him a fictitious story given the figures, something short that would not tire him because children at his age lose interest quickly.
To my surprise he identified some of the figures quickly, he listened to me while he watched the figures animatedly. Then I asked him to take the book and tell me a story, obviously it was to see him imitate me, he concentrated on turning the pages, see the figures, identify them and show them to his mom, because he loves her and always includes her in our activities.
The experience with Liam turned out to be fruitful, while he was at home his interest was focused on books, he found fun in taking out and putting the books in the box, he likes to tidy up; whenever he visits me he always puts all the toys in their place again. I try to get him into good habits, in September of this year he will enter preschool and I'm sure he will adapt easily.
At the end of any activity we do I give him a prize, I always have some cookies or juice saved for him because encouragement counts (laughs) but sometimes it comes unexpectedly and I have nothing, it is very funny to hear him say: "Tia you have totolate" with a pout, what can I say Liam has won my heart. Today he enjoyed some oreo cookies, he started with the cream, I really thought he wouldn't eat them but while he was talking to his mom he devoured them, my little Liam thank you for making my days happy!
