Hace unos meses, decidí viajar a Ushuaia, la ciudad más austral de Argentina. Para pasar las fiestas de fin de año con la familia. Sumando el viaje, tenía un propósito especial: busca y traer conmigo un tocadisco antiguo que mi abuelo me había regalado hace años. Este tocadisco tiene más de 50 años y solo le falta la aguja para que funcione.
A few months ago, I decided to travel to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in Argentina. To spend the end of the year holidays with the family. Adding up the trip, I had a special purpose: find and bring with me an old record player that my grandfather had given me years ago. This turntable is over 50 years old and only needs the needle to make it work.
Mi viaje a Ushuaia fue emocionante, volvi a recorer la ciudad de punta a punta y conocí lugares algunos hermosos. También hice algunas fotos para para recuerdo y mostrar en algun post. Pero lo más importante fue traer conmigo el tocadisco, que tengo que restaurar para dejarlo como nuevo.
My trip to Ushuaia was exciting, I went back through the city from end to end and I got to know some beautiful places. I also took some photos to remember and show in a post. But the most important thing was to bring the record player with me, which I have to restore to make it like new.
Antes de regresar a Buenos Aires, recogí un poco de calafate para mi madre, quien sabe hacer dulces con esa planta tan típica de Ushuaia. Cuenta la historia que si comen esos dulces, algún día volverán a esa hermosa ciudad.
Before returning to Buenos Aires, I picked up some calafate for my mother, who knows how to make sweets with this plant so typical of Ushuaia. She tells the story that if they eat those sweets, they will return to that beautiful city one day.
Finalmente, regresé a Buenos Aires con mi tocadisco y le hice un lugar especial en mi casa para poder escuchar todos los discos que encuentre de esa epoca.
Finally, I returned to Buenos Aires with my record player and I made a special place for it in my house to be able to listen to all the records I found from that time.
