Located on the beautiful island of Ulleungdo in South Korea, Kosmos Hotel is a place of personal reflection and contemplation, imagined and realized by the studio "The System Lab"
Of volcanic origin, Ulleungdo Island is known for its impressive views and landscape. Many Koreans regard it as the perfect representation of Ying and Yang. It is in this idyllic setting that the Hotel Kosmos was built.
The chief architect, Chanjoong Kim, wanted the building to be "a container of energy", encompassing the forces of the moon and sun, night and day, darkness and light, and earth and sky.
