QC Community Weekly Contest#165//To judge or criticize (ENG_ESP)
Greetings, friends of #queercoin. I'm happy to answer the diverse questions this great community always brings us, as I do every week. This time, we'll be talking about the differences between judging and destructive criticism. Follow me for more.
Judging refers to the act of forming an opinion or making a judgment about a person, situation, or idea. In a social context, "judging" often carries a negative connotation and implies a hasty, superficial, or moralizing evaluation of another person's behavior or life.
Now, destructive criticism is a type of judgment or evaluation characterized by its intention to belittle, demotivate, or attack the recipient, rather than help them improve or correct a possible mistake. It simply points out what is wrong or incorrect without offering a constructive way to amend or improve it. Most of the time, hurtful, sarcastic, or aggressive language is used, seeking to humiliate or generate feelings of guilt, instead of motivating.
People can easily confuse these terms, but if you analyze them carefully, you'll realize that judgment can be neutral, superficial, or simply the formation of an opinion, and its intention isn't necessarily to cause pain. Destructive criticism, on the other hand, often aims to belittle, hurt, humiliate, or demotivate the recipient.
In my opinion, both can have negative effects, but destructive criticism is generally considered worse or more damaging than simply judging because it's a form of communicative aggression that causes direct psychological harm and actively seeks to degrade the other person.
We live in a society that sometimes violates respect for others. We shouldn't judge without knowing the facts, and we should investigate the reasons behind them, much less criticize destructively. Instead, we should help the other person improve their behavior and show them other paths and possibilities in the most appropriate way. Don't be the cause of someone's loss of self-esteem or confidence; always help, never diminish.

S铆gueme para m谩s.
