About my Lineup/Strategy
Ilthain (Summoner): I think there were two obvious choices of summoner: Ilthain or Lir Deepswimmer.
I decided to pick Ilthain due to the Rise of The Commons ruleset.
Many great ranged cards of the Water element are Epics or Legendaries, such as Axe Master, Wave Brood, Igor Darkspear, Azmare Harpoonist, and Poseidon.
Another relevant factor is: in Gold League, Epic summoners allow you to use rare monsters up to level 7 instead of 6!
Supply Runner: extra Speed is always essential. With his Swiftness and +1 from Ilthain, I’ll have +2 Speed, which is incredible!
Silvershield Sheriff and Tower Griffin: my whole backline has a powerful synergy between all the monsters.
These two could provide +4 armor (double Protect) to increase the survivability of the entire team in case my opponent also picks a summoner/monster with Return Fire.
Although my Silvershield Sheriff is only level 4, so he doesn’t have Protect ability, he is still a solid card to use in this ruleset!
Herbalist+Venari Crystalsmith: in case my monster gets poison or affliction, Herbalist can cleanse, and Crystalsmith can keep healing!
Also, in the case of Martyr, her Dispel ability is very much needed!
Lone Boatman: Like sneak ability, Snipe monsters work better together.
Lone Boatman will target the same monster as Silvershield Sheriff in this case.
And, of course, the armor provided by the Protect ability will allow Lone Boatman to repair the armor of a friendly monster.

The Battle
Round 1
I was glad my opponent didn’t pick Ilthain or Lir Deepswimmer, although I still couldn’t say I would win this battle.
In round 1, no monsters were killed, but the Return Fire took off the Divine Shield of the whole team!
In addition, notice that Venari Crystalsmith dispelled the extra armor of Supply Runner provided by Protect ability, which was very nice!
Round 2
At the beginning of round 2, I killed Supply Runner, slowing my opponent down.
Now I’ll strike first, and my monsters can dodge more attacks which is a great advantage!
And Supply Runner did dodge two attacks in this round!
Unfortunately, I lost my Silvershield Sheriff in this round. He was a tremendous secondary tank.
Round 3
At the beginning of round 3, Crystalsmith and Lone Boatman were fast enough to heal Supply Runner and restore the armor.
Now my opponent was in serious trouble and definitely in a losing position.
Round 4
My monsters finished with Tower Griffin and Herbalist.
At the same time, my team was stable without any loss due to the repair + tank healing, and triage.
At this point, my opponent was helpless, and I skipped to the results!
