Visitando y conociendo el hermoso "Parque Barigui" en Curitiba - Brasil 🇧🇷📍[ESP-ENG]

Curitiba es una ciudad con muchos parques y lugares turísticos hermosos para visitar y aunque ya tenemos un año viviendo aquí aun nos faltan muchísimos lugares por conocer y han sido pocos los que ya hemos visitado, uno de ellos que a su vez es uno de los más famosos de la ciudad es el Parque Barigui el cual conocimos finalmente hace un par de meses.

Curitiba is a city with many beautiful parks and tourist attractions to visit, and although we've been living here for a year, there are still so many places we haven't seen. We've only visited a few, but one of the most famous in the city is Barigui Park, which we finally visited a couple of months ago.

Yo tenía mucho tiempo queriendo ir a este parque pero por muchos motivos no había podido hacerlo, uno de ellos es que está muy alejado de donde vivo, ya que Curitiba es una ciudad realmente enorme y de cualquier punto a otro el trayecto es muy muy largo.

I had wanted to go to this park for a long time, but for many reasons I hadn't been able to. One of them is that it's very far from where I live, since Curitiba is a really huge city and the journey from one point to another is very, very long.

El Parque Barigui es uno de los más grandes y a su vez más antiguos de la ciudad de Curitiba, inaugurado en el año 1972. Cuenta con una extensión de 1.4 millones de metros cuadrados, los cuales se dividen en un enorme lago que se ubica en el centro del parque y a su alrededor una gran vía pública que se divide en ciclovía, una zona para caminar y otra para correr o trotar, ya que este no solo es un parque turístico sino también un lugar en el que las personas van a ejercitarse al aire libre gracias a sus espacios naturales que son perfectos para este tipo de actividades.

Barigui Park is one of the largest and oldest parks in the city of Curitiba, inaugurated in 1972. It covers an area of 1.4 million square meters, divided into a huge lake located in the center of the park and a large public road surrounding it, divided into a bike path, a walking area, and a running or jogging area. This is not only a tourist park but also a place where people go to exercise outdoors thanks to its natural spaces, which are perfect for these types of activities.

Decidimos ir un miércoles en la tarde después del trabajo y aunque salimos temprano no contábamos con el horrible tráfico que habría en ese momento, por lo que un viaje que debió ser de 20 minutos se convirtió en uno de 45 minutos, haciendo así que llegáramos muy tarde, cuando ya casi comenzaba a oscurecer. Por supuesto esto no me gustó para nada, ya que quería ver y apreciar bien el parque pero por la hora en la que llegamos no fue posible.

We decided to go on a Wednesday afternoon after work, and although we left early, we hadn't counted on the terrible traffic at that time. A trip that should have taken 20 minutes turned into a 45-minute drive, making us arrive very late, just as it was getting dark. Of course, I didn't like this at all, since I wanted to see and appreciate the park properly, but the time we arrived made that impossible.

Comenzanos nuestro recorrido por el parque desde un punto y solo caminamos en un sentido hasta rodear todo el parque y llegar nuevamente al punto de donde partimos y aunque desde allí no se alcanzaba a ver el lago pudimos ver que pasaba un canal de agua (el cual más adelante se conecta con la laguna) y para pasar al otro lado hay un lindo puente de madera.

We started our walk through the park from one point and walked in only one direction until we had circled the entire park and returned to our starting point. Although we couldn't see the lake from there, we could see a canal running through it (which later connects to the lagoon), and there's a lovely wooden bridge to cross to the other side.

Despues de un buen rato llegamos finalmente a la laguna pero ya en este punto estaba todavía más oscuro, aún así nos acercamos a la orilla y pudimos apreciar los bellos colores del atardecer reflejados en el agua ¡Simplemente hermoso!

After quite a while, we finally reached the lagoon, but by this point it was even darker. Even so, we approached the shore and were able to appreciate the beautiful colors of the sunset reflected in the water. Simply beautiful!

Algo que caracteriza mucho al Parque Barigui es su fauna, que alberga muchos capibaras, los cuales se encuentran al aire libre y conviven con los visitantes, haciendo de las visitas una experiencia única y esa era también una de las razones por las que quería ir allí. Supuse que por la hora estos animales ya no estaban por allí, pero un poco más adelante pudimos ver a un grupo de estos, de todos los tamaños y fue para mí inevitable emocionarme al verlos de tan cerca, pues, los capibaras son realmente hermosos y al menos los de este parque son también muy tranquilos y amigables.

One of the defining characteristics of Barigui Park is its wildlife, which includes many capybaras. These animals roam freely and interact with visitors, making visits a unique experience, and that was one of the reasons I wanted to go there. I assumed that these animals would no longer be around at that time, but a little further on we saw a group of them, of all sizes, and I couldn't help but get excited seeing them so close. Capybaras are truly beautiful, and at least those in this park are very calm and friendly.

Pasamos también por el parque de diversiones que está dentro del Parque Barigui y desafortunadamente ese día estaba cerrado y no pudimos entrar, así que seguimos de largo hasta que llegamos nuevamente al punto desde donde partimos y fue allí donde terminó nuestro paseo.

We also passed by the amusement park inside Barigui Park, but unfortunately it was closed that day and we couldn't go in, so we kept going until we got back to where we started, and that's where our walk ended.

Para ser mi primera vez visitando este parque que tanto quería conocer me gustó mucho la experiencia, aunque no fue nada parecido a lo que me imaginaba, pues, por el contratiempo que tuvimos en el camino llegamos casi de noche y no pudimos apreciar todo el lugar a la luz del sol como yo esperaba, por lo que tengo en mente volver pronto y esta vez de dia para vivir una nueva experiencia en el Parque Barigui.

For my first time visiting this park that I had been wanting to see for so long, I really enjoyed the experience, although it wasn't quite what I had imagined. Due to a setback on the way, we arrived almost at night and couldn't appreciate the whole place in the sunlight as I had hoped. Therefore, I plan to return soon, this time during the day, to have a new experience at Barigui Park.
