¡Saludos querida comunidad! | ¡Greetings dear community!
@bluevibes y
@sugarelys, ahora sin más, ¡hablemos un poco!
¡Good day! As always, it is a pleasure for me to be able to share in this community by participating in the initiatives of different topics that are proposed weekly and that is precisely what I am here for on this occasion, because after reading the proposal from my friend @mosa71 titled Today I am alone for me I was encouraged to share my experience with you because it is a subject with which I identify a lot, well, it is something that I have experienced and that I am sure that many here too, I take the opportunity to invite my friends
@bluevibes and
@sugarelys to join this initiative. sugarelys, now without further ado, let's talk a little!

As @mosa71 mentioned to us in the presentation of the topic, mothers are innate caregivers who take care of others without looking for themselves, but I know that as in my case there are many people who suffer from this "syndrome" of the caregiver, being able to care and help to others putting everyone first before ourselves because it is something that is in us, there is always that need to help another and give priority to everything, we come to feel that they need us and it is not that we are indispensable for the life of the other but we are capable of doing whatever it takes to help and well... who wouldn't like to receive help? Even more so when it is about something complicated or that they cannot handle on their own, also taking into account that not helping someone would put us in a bad position that would make us see ourselves as selfish or bad people, however, there are times when that we really CANNOT help because it is not in our hands.
Has it happened to you that once you help someone, you are forced to do it always? That is to say, you do it once and the following times you must also do it because it is what the other person expects and as soon as you cannot offer him that help that he is used to receiving, that is when you become selfish and help no one, and you I say from my own experience that I am also sure that it has happened to EVERYONE at some time, that is when that feeling of guilt appears for not helping even when we know that we cannot even if we want to, because we are not always going to have the solutions to everything in the palm of our hand.
Personally, I consider myself a person who really likes to help, whoever and however or can, I am not capable of denying help to someone when it is not difficult for me to do so, but sometimes that has put me in a situation that It forces me to always help so as not to lose face while the other person is unaware that there are times when I can't, that even those of us who help also need and deserve help, seeing ourselves only as a "machine" (because that's how I've felt times) that they do not feel, do not get tired or have no pain, they forget that I am also a person, that I cannot always be 100% for them and that, just like them, I may also need help at some point and instead of understand they only label me as selfish or bad people.
There was a time when that affected me, and of course, I could look bad in front of anyone for the simple fact of not helping them when I wanted to, but then I understood that I also matter and that I am not obliged to always be there for everyone when nobody is there for me, that it's not bad from time to time to say NO, that it doesn't make me selfish to think of myself first on some occasions, or even always, setting limits is not bad and that I shouldn't allow others to dispose of me and of my time as they wish, that just as we take care of others we must also take care of ourselves and that it does not matter how much we help someone because the smallest detail will always make us look bad, making all the help and support previously provided not worth anything.
