Being irritated by the intense heat can also change our mood right? I guess you already know this feeling. Delicious refreshment can lessen this feeling, giving us comfort and relaxation. Thankfully,
This is the way towards our friend's house. The journey seemed long at first, but with our repeated visits , it felt closer and closer.
After a few minutes , we finally arrived. One thing I loved about this place was the abundance of coconut palm trees and the lush greenery . The trees offered shade from the heat , and the silence of the area was truly peaceful. We walked this part since it's nearby and we parked the motorcycle above.
When we finally reached their house, we had a little conversation and then decided to get the coconuts afterward. As usual, Niño climbed up to get some , so we only waited in the corner until he dropped some.
We had many coconuts and since I was so hungry to eat them again, I thought we could eat them all right away. While Niño was opening the coconut and collecting its water, Mary and I scrubbed to get the remaining meat . We didn't have any trouble scrubbing because it wasn't hard, it was soft and easy to remove.
We had already put all the coconut water and the meat so we went inside the house and Mary also bought ice and another biscuit to make it three since we already brought two biscuits and condensed milk. And when everything was ready , we started mixing the few ingredients we needed. It depends on what you put in first because the outcome is still the same . But when we mixed it , we put the condensed milk first, then we put the biscuits and ice. Oh, by the way, we added some sugar in it because the flavor might disappear when all the ice melts, so it's definitely still delicious.
When everything was okay and the sweetness was just right, we started eating. If you do this too, it's okay if you only put sugar and the sweetness level depends on personal preference since we have different tastes, some are just right, others prefer it less sweet, and some like it very sweet. But for us, we are used to adding condensed milk, biscuits and ice to it.
Another craving satisfied, it was so delicious! I didn't want to get full right away because I knew I'd crave it again, but as I said before, I get full quickly so I just wanted to have some before I left. Mary immediately gave me a tumbler to take the rest home because we both couldn't finish it all since we got so much.
After all , we asked for permission to go home. The only sad part is that we don't know when we will be able to come back here again. I also miss the time when our friends were still here , we always had a strong bond, no matter where we were. However, we don't have control over time and the path that people can take. But the happy recollections and companionship will still remain memories that will always be cherished and unforgettable.
