The Chosen Psalm (Ps 89:12-13.14-15.16-17) Take them out of your mercy, Lord! it is a supplication and a song at the same time, which asks God for compassion in retribution for so many hardships, a song of hope that asks for grace for better times and that today we repeat with faith to get out of the darkness in which the world is: In the morning save them from your mercy, and our whole life will be joy and joy... May your servants see your action, and their children your glory. Bring down to us the goodness of the Lord and make the works of our hands prosperous.

In the second reading, from the letter to the Hebrews (4,12-13) we appreciate how the word of God is manifested to humanity:
The word of God is alive and effective, sharper than a double-edged sword, penetrating to the point where soul and spirit, joints and marrow are divided. Judge the desires and intentions of the heart. There is no creature that escapes his gaze. Everything is clear and open in the eyes of the one to whom we are accountable. Which is the same as saying that before God there is nothing hidden and that only He will judge our actions, He knows everything and knows us perfectly. As for the Gospel (Mark 10,17-30) we have already analyzed it in previous publications: "Good Teacher, what must I do to achieve eternal life?" that rich young man asked Jesus; In addition, he assured her that he had been respectful of the Law since he was a child, so he had fulfilled all the commandments, which shows that he was a good person and fearing the word of God; But Jesus looked at him with affection and said: "One thing is missing: go, sell what you have, give the money to the poor, so you will have a treasure in heaven, and then follow me." The evangelist tells that at the words of the Messiah the young man frowned and left regretfully, because he was very rich. Jesus, looking around him, said to his disciples: "How difficult it is going to be for the rich to enter the kingdom of God!" Later we will read the famous phrase: It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God However, Jesus clarifies that in similar situations only God has the last word. Anyone who puts his trust in money or in any of the material things in the world finds it difficult to detach himself, no one can love God and money at the same time; so everyone who leaves home, or brothers or sisters, or mother or father, or children or lands, for me and for the Gospel, will now receive, at this time, a hundred times more houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the future age, eternal life.

Gloria a tí Señor Jesús.

Reading of the Holy Gospel according to Mark 10:17-27

At that time, when Jesus was going out on the road, a man ran up to him, knelt before him and asked him: "Good Teacher, what must I do to attain eternal life?" Jesus answered him: “Why do you call me good? No one is good but only God. You already know the commandments: You will not kill, you will not commit adultery, you will not steal, you will not bear false witness, you will not commit fraud, you will honor your father and mother ”.

Then he replied: "Master, I have accomplished all that since I was very young." Jesus looked at him with love and said: “You lack only one thing: Go and sell what you have, give the money to the poor and then you will have a treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me ”. But when he heard these words, the man was saddened and left sad, because he had many possessions.

Jesus, looking around him, then said to his disciples: "How difficult it is going to be for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God!" The disciples were surprised at these words; But Jesus insisted: “Little children, how difficult it is for those who trust in riches to enter the Kingdom of God! It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God ”.

They were even more astonished and commented among themselves: "So who can be saved?" Jesus, staring at them, said: “It is impossible for men, but not for God. For God everything is possible.”

Word of the Lord

Glory to you Lord Jesus.
