Today I want to write about a mass produced beer. The beer is Hansa pilsener. The brewery market it as South Africa's only pilsener and make sure that you understand that it is a pilsener and not a beer.

rynow@rynow is standing here with a Hansa Pilsener in hand at our last braai. Hansa is his favourite beer other than craft beers!

I like the color of the packaging. The red, gold, white and a dash of black works well togther to make the pilsener look attractive.

Once poured into a glass its rich golden color comes to the fore. It also forms a nice foam head.

The hippopotamus looking on seems a bit suprised about the whole affair!

The baby hippopotamus also came to inspect the white foamy head!

On the label of the beer on the backside of the bottle, no pun intended, it is indicted that the beer has 4,5% alcohol per volume wich makes it quite a light dinkable beer, sorry pilsener.

Here the three stooges are enjoying a Hansa pilsner (Dad prefer red wine for reasons unbeknown to me!)

The pilsener is really a good tasting beer and can be recommended as a non craft beer option.

I took the photos myself with my iPhone.
