HISTOIRE D'UN LOGICIEL PHOTO

🇫🇷 Cette semaine j'ai emmené quelques clients sur l'île de Sal, au Cap-Vert. Une traversée entre Boa Vista et Sal pour pallier à des annulations de vols domestiques et pour permettre à mes clients de rejoindre l'aéroport international d'où décolle leur vol international. Mission accomplie, et alors mes clients montent dans l'avion, je me jette dans ma combinaison de plongée pour me rendre sur une épave sur laquelle j'ai déjà plongée dans la baie de Santa Maria.

🇬🇧 This week I took some clients to the island of Sal, in Cape Verde. A crossing between Boa Vista and Sal to compensate for domestic flight cancellations and to allow my clients to reach the international airport from where their international flight departs. Mission accomplished, and then my clients get on the plane, I throw myself into my diving suit to go to a wreck on which I have already dived in the bay of Santa Maria.

🇫🇷 Je ne connais rien de cette épave, à part son positionnement ! Ca me suffit pour aujourd'hui, le principal but étant seulement d'aller respirer sous l'eau. Je continue à me familliariser avec mon equipement photo de supermacro. Pas évident de faire la mise au point avec ce matériel, surtout lorsqu'on a la vue qui baisse! Mais tout doucement je parviens à sortir quelques photographies intéressantes.

🇬🇧 I don’t know anything about this wreck, apart from its positioning! That’s enough for me for today, the main goal being only to go breathe underwater. I continue to become familiar with my supermacro photo equipment. It’s not easy to focus with this equipment, especially when you have a dim view! But slowly I manage to bring out some interesting photographs.

🇫🇷 Faire les photos ne suffit pas. Il faut une fois retourner à la surface se mettre devant son ordinateur et passer un bon moment à retoucher les photographies, enlever les imperfections et essayer de donner à sa photo l'ambiance avec laquelle on souhaite la regarder. Et pour cela on utilise un logiciel de retouche. C'est là que mon article devient cocasse. Il y a 20 ans j'avais acheté un logiciel de retouche photo. Un logiciel Français (cocorico) que j'appréciais tout particulièrement et dont la société DXO a depuis bien grandi au point de désormais conccurencer une société comme Adobe. Et aujourd'hui, dans mon bateau, au bout du Cap-Vert, à ma table, mon client était tout simplement le fondateur de la société de ce logiciel de retouche photo que j'utilise !! Donc voilà quelques unes de mes photographies du jour modifiées à partir du logiciel de mon client du jour !

You have to go back to the surface, stand in front of your computer and spend a good time retouching the photographs, removing imperfections and trying to give your photo the atmosphere with which you want to look at it. And for this, we use a photo editing software. That’s where my article becomes funny. 20 years ago I bought a photo editing software. A French software (cocorico) that I particularly appreciated and whose company DXO has since grown to the point of now creating a company like Adobe. And today, in my boat, at the end of Cape Verde, at my table, my client was simply the founder of the company of this photo editing software that I use!! So here are some of my photographs of the day modified from my client’s software of the day!
