Her Majesty
One of the family members I share my household with is a small, furry, 13 year old cat named Cleopatra (Cleo for short).
Young at heart
She may be getting older, but she still loves to play ! Her favourite toy is just a plain old plastic spring ! All I have to do is pluck the spring to make a sound and she perks right up, and comes running. She loves to bat them around, which is adorable but she also ends up getting them in the strangest places !
I have come across springs while cleaning in many of the normal places you would think of like under the couch, bed, or dressers. I have also found them in places I didn't think they could get like under the stove or in the back of a closet !
Less toy, more pillow
A few months ago I bought her a small catnip toy that she doesn't really play with, but she does spend a lot of time with. I got it for her because Cleo goes nuts over catnip ! When she first got this toy she went nuts over it as well ! She uses it as a pillow to nap on, and loves to rub the catnip smell all over her face. She'll sometimes pick it up in her teeth and give it a shake, I'm sure this is just like fluffing you pillow.
Even though this toy is now a few months old, and probably doesn't have that much catnip smell left she still loves it.
Sleepy kitty
Cleo by far spends most of her time asleep. She has a few places she likes to get comfortable around the house, her favourites (in no paticular order) are:
- The bed
- A small cube footstool in the living room
- The couch
- The futon in the sunroom
When Cleo gets comfortable, like many people she starts to snore. For an animal only a bit bigger than a loaf of bread, boy can she snore ! If you are on the couch with her you can hear her over the tv, and if she's on her cube then you can hear her snore across the room ! The first time people hear it, it normally surprises them to find out it's Cleo making all the racket.
Thank you
I hope you enjoyed reading about my wonderful kitty, or at least enjoyed the pictures !
Have a great morning/afternoon/night !
