Ever had a personal experience with a narcissist before? I have had personal experience with one before and it was not really a good experience that I would want to have again...
The Narcissists are the kind of people who do really have this particular sense of grandiosity ,
they have a very extreme self-importance, they have an extreme self-confidence which makes them feel they are always the superior one among everyone.. Narcissist are the kind of people who believe that they are always more important than every other person and that make them to often seek out admiration so much..
A narcissist tend to become so arrogant because of their feelings of superiority..
They love to take advantage of other people so that they can get what they really want , they can be so cunny and desperate.
Narcissist sees himself or herself as someone who is very special so that makes them to begin to exaggerate all their achievements and makes them feel they have it all already.
Another problem with Narcissist is that they always demand a constant admiration..
They tend to quickly feel envy towards other people who they see as a threat , and they make it obvious to the person they are envying..
Another annoying traits they have is that they always assume that people are envious of them simply because they have this over-bloated ego.
Narcissist are these kind of people who do truly lack empathy and they are always so obsessed with power and success and they have an extreme sense of entitlement..
I have been in a relationship with one before and i can tell you that it was an awful experience, infact I felt so relieved then I left the relationship because i tried my best to save the relationship but it was not just working..
I tried my best to handle the narcissist but the efforts were futile, infact the situation got worse..
For my mental health to stay safe , I had to leave the relationship and move on with my life..
What even makes it worse is that the narcissist might not even know that they are a narcissist and it even makes it difficult to handle them , maybe if they know they are one then it could be easier to assist them to see how they can break free from the disorder.. yeah it is a kind of psychological disorder..
The narcissist tend to hate constructive criticism so criticism was something that often do not work when you want to try to make them change their attitude , maybe if they are willing to embrace constructive criticism then maybe they could be able to change and become a non-narcissist.
When I tried everything possible to change the person and they were not willing to change, I had to refer them to a psychologist which they refuse , it was at that point I realized that I need to move on because the person is not even willing to change..
What about you? Have you had any experience with a narcissist before? Or what you think can be done to help someone suffering from narcissism..? I would love to hear your thoughts concerning this topic..
