Nicomedia

The ancient city of Nicomedia was founded in 712 BC by the Megara community. But after a short time the city of Nicomedia was destroyed by the kingdom of Thrace. In 264 BC the city of Nicomedia was rebuilt by the Bitinya kingdom. The city of Nicomedia became the capital city of the Roman Empire in 286. Nicomedia is the very important city for the Roman Empire. The city of Nicomedia has always been the center of the army camps, especially because it is close to Istanbul. And many buildings were built by the Roman Empire to the city of Nicomedia. But unfortunately until this day, so many of these buildings have been destroyed.
