Gallus was born in 206. The full name of Gallus is Gaius Vibius Trebonianus Gallus. Gallus became the emperor of the Roman state in 251 BC.
When Gallus was an emperor, the Roman Empire collapsed. At the same time the plague appeared in the city of Rome. Gallus first dealt with the plague. Gallus paid for the funeral expenses of those who died.

Gallus first wanted to fight against the Sassanids. But the Roman commander Aemilianus opposed Gallus's orders. Aemilianus fought against the Goths and won this war. This post-war Roman army proclaimed Aemilianus the Roman emperor. Gallus fought against Aemilianus. But Gallus was killed by his own soldiers in 253.
