The ancient city of Eflatunpınar was founded in 1300 BC. The founders of Eflatunpinar are the Hittites. The old name of Eflatunpinar is not known exactly. The city name was named to commemorate the name of Plato, the Greek philosopher. Unfortunately, many of the buildings in the city of Eflatunpınar were destroyed due to wars. Today, only a few buildings survived in the city of Eflatunpinar.
